A £12 Million Lotto Prize from June Is Still Unclaimed — and It Expires on 3 December

Somebody in Wales is sitting on an unclaimed Lotto prize and may not know it. A Lotto ticket bought in Rhondda Cynon Taf for the draw on Saturday 6 June 2026 matched all six numbers — 8, 10, 26, 30, 35, 42 — and won £12 million. Nearly six months later, the unclaimed Lotto prize is still waiting for its owner, and the claim deadline is Thursday 3 December 2026. After that date, the money, plus the interest it has earned, goes to National Lottery-funded community projects instead.

It is not the only big prize waiting. A ticket bought in Lewisham, London, for the 26 September 2026 draw won £5.84 million and is also unclaimed, with a deadline of 25 March 2027.

Unclaimed prizes are more common than most people think. Tickets are lost, left in coat pockets, washed, or simply never checked — especially when the draw is one of the older two-draw format nights. Since June 2026, every Lotto line plays in two rounds each draw night, so older tickets from before the change are worth a second look too.

What to do if you hold the unclaimed Lotto prize

  • Search the places tickets hide: wallets, coat pockets, car gloveboxes, kitchen drawers and old shopping bags.
  • If you played in Rhondda Cynon Taf in June, your ticket could be the unclaimed Lotto prize — check any ticket against 8, 10, 26, 30, 35, 42.
  • Claims for prizes of this size are made directly with the National Lottery — and the ticket itself is the proof, so keep it safe and sign the back.
